According to Moody's Investor Service, a double dip in the global economy heading back into recession could strain the US banks to a great extent. Delta and American Express have announced a multiyear extension of their beneficial partnerships. The two companies have been providing a range of co-branded credit offers since 1996. The cardholders can earn Delta SkyMiles and use them to pay for all or part of their flight.
The new extended agreement will be beneficial for both companies. Delta will receive a $2 million from a purchase of SkyMiles and contract improvements. American Express will be able to grow the value of its co-branded rewards cards and increase merchant acceptance in the Midwest.
